Our Foundation

It is very pleasing to note that the investment funds held in the Foundation have grown to nearly $26m.

This growth in our investment funds is the result of further general and bequest donations to the Foundation, and from strong investment income during the year. The Trustees wish to express their gratitude to those donors who have chosen to support our Foundation and Outward Bound, to Mercer for their competent management of our portfolio, and to the management of Rangatira, which has enjoyed another successful year.

It’s also pleasing to note that the number of bequest donors continues to grow, promising further growth in our investment funds in the years to come.

A strong Foundation is a vital element of the Outward Bound strategic plan, and we should all be grateful for the leadership of the late Sir David Levene and others, who had the foresight to establish the Foundation over 20 years ago.

I would like to thank my fellow Trustees - Brien Mahoney, Del Hart and Tim Watts - for their support and oversight of this wonderful Outward Bound legacy.
